This subconsciously shows the other person that you are inviting them into your space. You are being approachable instead of standoffish. Speed of talking is something that is easy to control if you pay attention. You need to slow down your speech if the prospect speaks slowly. If the prospect is a fast talking then speaking in a slow manner will drive them crazy.
The goal is to get the other person to feel comfortable. A good way to do that is to talk at the same speed they do. If you mirror the speed with which they normally talk you can bring the person to you. They feel a bond with you and thus will listen to what you have to say. If there is a trust issue they will not join the program.
A good network marketing lead is not something to take lightly. In reality, you will find only a few people who turn out to be stars. These people are the ones you can build a business around so you really need to get them into your program.
